Adult Bible Study

Our Lady of Guadalupe offers two bible study courses per seasonal semester (Spring and Fall). Currently, we will be offering the following bible study topics:

This is the foundational study in The Great Adventure Bible Study Series that has helped hundreds of thousands of Catholics learn to read the Bible.

The Bible Timeline is a fascinating study that takes participants on a journey through the entire Bible. They will go deep into each period of salvation history and discover the amazing story woven throughout all of Scripture. Using a unique color-coded system, they will learn the major people, places, and events of the Bible and see how they all come together to reveal the remarkable story of our faith. The Bible Timeline has been granted the Imprimatur.

Please join us on Wednesday mornings, 9:30A-Noon in the Parish Hall.  The study is two semesters, beginning September 13th and concluding May 2nd.  The cost is $50 for the study.  The deadline to register is September 6th.  Late registrations incur a $10 expedited shipping fee.  Please contact Patty Williams at:  mailto:pattywill55@sbcglobalnet or (210)681-4586.

With Psalms: The School of Prayer, The Great Adventure moves from telling the Story to making it personal. While the historical books of the Bible recount God’s creative and redemptive acts in history, the Psalms reveal Israel’s response to God’s covenant offer and serve as a model for our response to Him. Indeed, one could say that the historical books tell the “outside” of the story of Israel by giving an historical perspective, while the Psalms tell the “inside” story, which comes from the deeply personal perspective of one who is seeking God. Our communication with God is enhanced by a deeper understanding of the book of Psalms and of the individual psalms that reside in each of our hearts.

Please join us on Thursday evenings from 7-9PM in the Parish Hall.  The session begins on Thursday, January 11, 2018 and concludes on April 19, 2018.  The cost is $35.00.  Early registration ends on January 5.  Late registrations will incur a $10 expedited shipping fee.  Please contact Danna Sullivan at
