We have been notified that some parishioners are receiving emails with various website links. These emails have the sender’s names listed as clergy and staff of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church even though the emails did not originate from our email addresses at olghelotes.org. Therefore, please pay close attention before opening emails and attachments – stay safe in the virtual world!
PLEASE DO NOT OPEN any links attached to emails (from parish clergy and staff) if the actual address link does not come from www.olghelotes.org website or has @olghelotes.org as part of the email address. Some emails are impersonating the name of our staff but the email is not the correct address. To see this, all you need to do is hover over the name and
display the actual email address.
In addition, some parishioners have been receiving text messages soliciting money or gift cards with Fr. Carlos or Fr. Juan’s name but not from their phone numbers. Please use similar caution: do not open links in those messages and/or call the office number to confirm these texts as most likely they are scam. Neither the clergy nor our parish staff will ever ask you for money or gift cards via text messages.
