Thank you to all who supported our Advent Outreach for 2021! We had four main projects that we took on, all run by different ministries. Below are some of the results from those who have reported:
COPS/Metro Bag Collection:
This year’s initiative was a huge success thanks to your generosity. Below are some of the results complied for us by Cathy McCoy:
- Total bags collected (approx.): 760
- Catholic Charities: 578
- Roy Maas Emergency Shelter: 48 duffle bags, tote bags and/or backpacks
- Seton Home: 60 purses
- Guadalupe Home: 12 purses and 12 backpack/tote bags
- Battered Women’s Shelter: 42 tote bags
Altar Society Heavenly Soles Shoes & Socks Drive
We would like to thank the community of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Helotes for their most generous and largest donation to the Heavenly Shoes & Socks Drive this year. We collected 1460 pairs of shoes and 750 pairs of socks that were distributed to eight different shelters.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul
During December, you donated $14,100 for the Christmas Gift Card Project. This ensured that 318 people had a very merry Christmas. Thank you so much!
Pillow Ministry
1330+ pillows, 318+ custom sewn stockings, 112 laundry bags 19 toiletry bags, 77 cosmetic bags, 24 custom pillowcases 80+ quilts all sewn with love and customized to the needs of the shelters and agencies we serve through our Pillow Ministry
Community Outreach Ministry
Hundreds of stuffed animals, toiletries and personal care items, clothing and more through our Community Outreach Ministry Christmas Drive
