We will be holding two masses for you to attend on this day, as it is a Holy Day of Obligation. 8:30 AM in English, and 6:30 PM in English and Spanish (Bilingual).
All Saints’ Day is the celebration of all God’s holy saints. It has been said that the saints are considered to be “God’s Masterpieces.” That is, during their time on earth, God gave them the grace to live holy and exemplary lives. By responding wholeheartedly to God’s call to holiness, at the time of their passing they were made perfect and now reside with the Him in heaven. Not only are their lives examples for us to follow, but they also play a unique role in our world today. Because of their heavenly unity with the Lord, the saints are able to act as powerful intercessors on our behalf. This why we venerate the saints and ask them to pray for us. Likewise, the Lord uses His saints as secondary causes to communicate with us. If you have ever “felt” a saint’s intercession, that is because God has chosen them to speak with you in a very unique and personal way. While there may be an innumerable amount of saints in heaven, the Church mainly celebrates those who have been officially canonized. On this day, we ask that the saints continue to keep us in prayer so that we too may one day join them and the Lord in heaven.
