All Souls’ Day is the day of the Church where we pray for and remember all those who have passed from this life to the next. As Catholics, we believe that life does not end at death. However, what happens next does depend on the life that we lived while here on earth. On this day, we we pray that the faithful departed may be with God for all eternity. As well, we ask those who have gone before us to pray for us, as they still have the power to intercede for us, whether in purgatory or in heaven.
On this day, we will be offering two masses for you to participate in. First will be a bilingual mass at the Helotes Catholic Cemetery (aka Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery). This will be followed by a blessing of the graves. If you wish to attend, please bring your own chairs and dress appropriately. In the evening, we will have mass in English back in the main church of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We hope that you can join us in this time of prayer and remembrance.
Tuesday, November 2 // 8:30 AM Bilingual Mass @ Helotes Catholic Cemetery (16804-16930 Bandera Rd, Helotes, TX 78023) // 6:30 PM English Mass @ Our Lady of Guadalupe – Helotes
