In conjunction with Pray Big, our parish is also participating in the Big Give – a 24 hour event for people to donate towards their favorite charities with the opportunity to have their charitable donations of up to $100 matched. And, at certain times called “Match Minutes,” you have the opportunity to DOUBLE, TRIPLE, QUADRUPLE, or even QUINTUPLE your donation until matching funds are exhausted. And not only this, but you will also have opportunities to WIN PRIZES during these match minutes. But you have to be quick! These donations MUST be made within the minute that they are prescribed. Even a second later, and your donation won’t count towards the prize opportunity or be multiplied. So we recommend filling out your information at least 2 minutes beforehand so you can press “submit” right as the time strikes.
Match Minutes Schedule
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:
General Match Minutes
- During all Match Minutes donations will be doubled up to $500 (if someone donates $500, Our Lady of Guadalupe gets $1,000)
- OLG will also receive an independent match up to $100 until we reach the threshold of $25,000
- To qualify, log in 2-3 minutes prior to the Match Minute time, complete the form, and be ready to hit “submit” at the second the clock turns to the time (i.e., log in at 9:05am and hit submit at 9:10am on the dot)
On 9/20 at 6:10 pm & 9:10 pm Match Minutes
- Match Minutes donation will be TRIPLED up to $500.
- A $500 donation will be tripled ($500 x 3 = $1,500) until funds are exhausted
- PLUS, if you donate in the actual 6:10 pm or 9:10 pm minute, we get an additional $100
- Which brings your total donation to $1,600 ($1,500 + $100 = $1,600)
On 9/20 at 8:10 pm Match Minute
- Match minute donations will be MULTIPLIED BY 6 up to $100
- A $100 donation will be sextupled ($100 x 6 = $600) until funds are exhausted
- PLUS, if you donate in the actual 8:10pm minute, we get an additional $100
- Which brings your total donation to $700 ($600 + $100 = $700)
On 9/21 at 9:10 am Match Minutes
- Match minute donations will be MULTIPLIED BY 5 up to $100
- A $100 donation will be quintupled ($100 x 5 = $500) until funds are exhausted
- PLUS, if you donate in the actual 9:10pm minute, we get an additional $100
- Which brings your total donation to $600 ($500 + $100 = $600)
All of these are until funds run out which it will show you at time of login and donation.
