Catechist Certification

In accordance with the Archdiocese of San Antonio’s policy on certification for catechists, pastoral leaders, and Catholic school teachers of religion, Our Lady of Guadalupe in Helotes strives to help promote the mission of the Archdiocesan Institute of Lay Ecclesial Ministry and Service:

The Certification Process and Formation Program of the Archdiocese of San Antonio provides the basic theological understandings, spiritual formation and ministerial methodology necessary for those who are appointed by their pastors to accompany adults, youth or children.”

Classes for varying levels of certification ranging from Basic to Advanced are offered at locations throughout the Archdiocese and at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center in English and Spanish.
