Fellow parishioners, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, our lives and parish community life have drastically changed. We are under stay and work from home orders. This mandate may greatly affect some of our parishioners who have restricted or limited abilities. Please know that Our Lady of Guadalupe – Helotes parish family is here for you!
The members of COPS/Metro Alliance, a member of our Social Justice Ministry team, are actively engaged with issues that are at the forefront of many families. If you are worried about housing, possible eviction, unemployment benefits, and small business credits, parish leaders are here to help you. Parish Leaders are also analyzing the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and can provide some basic clarification and direction. We will host a virtual parish wide CIVIC academy to share this information at a later date; details to come. Meanwhile, please contact Edna Molina at firstname.lastname@example.org or Cathy McCoy at email@example.com for information on any of the issues listed above.
If you need help with food, health care, fellowship or anything else, there are many organizations working to help our parish community remain strong and supported during this time. If you need help or want to help, please reach out to any one of our caring ministries below.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul Take Heart Grief Support Group
