A Message from Our Pastor
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
How blessed are we to be able to walk this earthly pilgrimage with one another as members of Our Lady of Guadalupe-Helotes! Our parish has a long history of being a family of families. No matter what may be happening around us, the parish is our home. It is the place where we can come together, gathered around the Eucharistic table, to worship and serve our Lord.It is also the place where we serve one another. Here, united in God’s love, we are a visible sign of the body of Christ and together we can accomplish amazing things. Nourished by prayer and the sacraments, members of our parish community are on the path of discipleship and growing in relationship with Jesus Christ each day. We value formation in the faith and sharing our faith with others through evangelization. We also know the importance of bringing the love of God to our neighbors through acts of charity and service. Through our many ministries, and our social and service-oriented outreach programs, we put into action the truth stated so eloquently by St. John the Apostle: “If God so loved us, we also must love one another” (1 Jn 4:11).
With this in mind, I invite you to respond to our parish’s new stewardship program: Growing as Family, Building our Future, Witnessing the Faith (Growing, Building, Witnessing). Please review the contents of this brochure and prayerfully consider how you and your family can play an active role in continuing the work of Jesus Christ through our parish community. We aim to increase our Sunday offertory contributions and bring Jesus Christ to as many people as possible. This is no easy task in today’s climate, but I am confident that our dedicated parishioners are up to the challenge.
On October 5th and 6th, the parish will hold a special Commitment Weekend, inviting members of our community to come together and make a financial commitment that will allow Our Lady of Guadalupe-Helotes to continue its important work. We are counting on you! By participating in Growing as Family, Building our Future, Witnessing the Faith we respond to God’s great gift of love by loving one another with the heart of His Son.Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and commitment to Our Lady of Guadalupe - Helotes!

Growing as Family
Our faith journey begins within the family - both our immediate and broader family of the Church. As a parish, we are a family bound together by the sacraments and our common purpose to live as followers of Christ. Just as we nurture relationships in our homes, we must also nurture our relationships within our parish. This requires, commitment, openness, and a willingness to serve one another.

Building our Future
Our parish is more than just a place where we come for Mass on Sundays; it is a living, breathing community that requires active participation. When we think of building the future, we often think of physical buildings or new renovation projects, but it also means building a culture of discipleship, where each person takes responsibility of the life and mission of our Church.

Witnessing the Faith
The world today desperately needs witnesses to the Gospel - people who not only speak about their faith but live it authentically. When people see the love and unity in our parish family, they are drawn to Christ. When they see us building a future rooted in faith and hope, they are inspired to join us. And when they see us using our gifts for the good of others, they see the hands and feet of Christ at work.
