The Sacrament of Confirmation brings an increase and deepening of baptismal grace through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) lists five effects of Confirmation (see CCC 1303):‒It affirms our identity as children of God (“divine filiation”).‒“It unites us more firmly to Christ.”‒“It increases the gifts of the Holy Spirit in us.”‒It strengthens our bond with the Church.‒It strengthens us to spread and defend the Faith by our words and actions as fearless witnesses to Christ and the power of the Cross.
We offer a two year program (consecutive) for high school students who have received their Sacraments of Baptism and First Communion. On Confirmation Year 1, teens attend Life Teen program with a maximum of 4 absences and complete 15 service hours while attending mass regularly. If your teen was enrolled in at least one year in a Catholic High School which counts as the first year of formation. The following year, the teen can register for Confirmation Year 2 (CHOSEN Program), they cannot have more than 4 absences, complete 15 service hours, submit a saint essay, complete priest interview and attends a weekend long retreat as well as attending mass regularly.
Confirmation Year 2 (CHOSEN Program) classes take place on most Sundays from 12:45 pm- 2:45 pm during the school year. A copy of the teen’s baptismal and first communion certificates are required at time of enrollment into CHOSEN Program.

Being chosen as a confirmation sponsor is a tremendous honor. This means that you have been a witness of the Catholic faith to this person in special way, and that this person desires to emulate your faith. The role of a sponsor is a truly beautiful, deep, and meaningful role.

Must not be living in marriages not recognized by the Church
Must not be the parent of the candidate or person dating/married to candidate

Confirmation students MUST complete an Essay on the life of the saint they have chosen that includes an explanation as to why they have chosen that saint.
The paper it’s not a biography of the life of your saint. Describe from your heart how you identify with your saint. A great format to follow could be to pick 3-5 virtues of your saint that you would like to exemplify in your own life and write a paragraph per virtue to further explain how and why you will live that in your life as a Confirmed Catholic.
In paragraph form:
• Place where Saint lived or worked
• Patron Saint of
• Summary of Saint’s life (should be at least 15 sentences in length)
• What I like about my saint and some of the virtues that I could imitate
• Reasons why I chose this saint for my Confirmation name
• My own prayer to this saint
Your saint paper MUST BE IN YOUR OWN WORDS
Confirmation strengthens our Baptismal union with Christ and calls us to imitate how Christ lived as a servant to others. By serving others, we support our Christian Community and grow in holiness.
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Mark 10:41
