Readers

Anyone interested in serving as a Reader for the English masses must contact Ms. Roxana Vargas as the Coordinator for the Lector/Reader Ministry. Ms. Vargas will ensure all training requirements are met prior to integrating prospective minister to the next quarterly schedule.

Our Mission

A Reader proclaims and conveys God’s Holy Word, serving as a messenger sharing in the Work of the Lord’s Holy Spirit so that Word Challenges, Confronts and Captures the Hearts of God’s People so all will understand. A Reader is a Minister of the Word for the liturgical ministry and leads the people to prayer by proclaiming God’s Word for the people who have gathered to worship.

In addition to a one-on-one initial formation training, all Ministers are required to participate in trainings conducted by the Reader Coordinator & Scheduler for Lector Ministry. Prior to being placed on the schedule to serve, Extraordinary Ministers must also complete all three modules listed in Virtusonline.com for Safe Environment to be in active ministry. They must also participate in a One - on - One meeting with Roxana Vargas (Reader Coordinator) covering the mechanics of what to do in Mass. Once completed they will be placed on the schedule for the following quarter. Extraordinary Minister Commissioning dates will follow.
