The Archdiocese of San Antonio is committed to the protection of children, youth and vulnerable adults.
UPDATED TRAINING REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL ARCHDIOCESE CLERGY, EMPLOYEES, AND LAY VOLUNTEERS
Are you a volunteer or thinking about volunteering at the Parish? The following requirements have to be met for ALL volunteer positions PRIOR to participating in ministry. All training is on www.virtus.org. All training must be renewed every 3 years.
- Complete a Criminal Background Check (CBC)if you haven’t already done so. It will be automatically renewed every 3 years after the initial form. The forms can be found on our website or in the parish office.
- Set up an account on VIRTUS.ORG. If you have difficulty accessing VIRTUS, please contact our Parish Office for assistance.
- Read and acknowledge the Code of Conduct.
- Complete ALL three VIRTUS modules: the Sexual Harassment Training, the Vulnerable Adults Training, and the Protecting God’s Children Training.
NOTE: Fr. Scott is REQUIRING all volunteers to complete ALL of the training modules whether or not you actively work with children or vulnerable adults. This is to promote a general awareness not only about the people we serve in the parish but for the protection of the friends and family that we encounter in our daily lives. With this in mind, PLEASE ANSWER YES to the questions about working with children or vulnerable adults. This will enable all the required modules to be made available to you.
If you have any questions, please contact Lucy Pompa at LFavela@olghelotes.org. Thank you for your stewardship!
