This Feast Day is a celebration of the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. On this day we recall the institution of the Eucharist at the Last Supper. Pope Urban IV issued a papal bull establishing the feast in 1254 to be followed on a Thursday/Sunday following Trinity Sunday. The feast was prompted by St. Juliana of Liege, a 13th Century canoness from Belgium.
